Admissions

Opening its doors for the first time in 1912, St. Anthony School continues its fine tradition of academic excellence by preparing our students to meet today’s challenges. Cognia has certified St. Anthony School as a STEM school, (the first in the nation!), having met the requirements established.  Cognia is the world’s largest accrediting and school improvement organization.

Committed to the Salesian Sisters’ style of education, our belief is that each child is made in the image and likeness of God and that each child has the right and the responsibility to fully develop his/her intellectual, social, spiritual and moral potential. Our faculty guides and motivates our students to become self-directed, responsible, respectful and independent learners who choose to take personal responsibility for their education.

Our standardized test scores are well above the national norm on the NWEA Map Growth test.  Our graduates consistently place in honors and advanced classes when they enter the high school of their choice.

We are recognized by the Diocese of Paterson as leaders in the area of STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) for students in grades PreK through 8. Our teaching staff continues to engage in professional development activities so as to complement their many years of teaching experience.

The interest, support and involvement of our pastor, priests, deacons, parish staff and parishioners enrich our program and make our many initiatives possible.  The energy, creativity and expertise of our parents, in conjunction with the visionary planning of our Home-School Association, have strengthened all aspects of our academic program and provide a witness to the community’s dedication to the education of the whole child.
